Academic Research & Projects

01

Real-Time Structural Health Monitoring

My Ph.D. research focuses on real-time structural health monitoring using advanced statistical methods. I develop hierarchical sensor data fusion and roving sensor network frameworks, particularly applied to the retrofitting of complex structures and bridges.

02

Dynamic Behavior of Historical Monuments

A significant portion of my research is dedicated to understanding the long-term dynamic response of historical structures. My studies extensively monitor how atmospheric condition variations and earthquakes affect monumental structures like the Hagia Sophia and Ottoman minarets

03

Urban Resilience & Seismic Hazard Analysis

As a researcher in major TÜBİTAK projects, I work on developing urban resilience strategies for the Marmara Region based on innovative data production models. This includes 3D physics-based and stochastic simulation methods for region-specific ground motion estimation.

04

Seismic Response of High-Rise Buildings

My collaborative research includes the structural health monitoring-based seismic response assessment of complex modern architectures, such as a 53-story twisted high-rise building under severe earthquake scenarios.
